All About the WIM Fiscal Sponsorship Program

The WIM (Women in Management) Fiscal Sponsorship Program was established by KDNY to enable female choreographers and female run companies the opportunity to raise the funds they need to make their work happen. Members of WIM will be able to apply for grants and solicit donations to be used in the creation of new dance works under the non-for-profit status of KDNY Incorporated.

Benefits:
Following acceptance into (WIM), KDNY Inc. will:
  • Receive grants, gifts, or donations on behalf of the WIM Member
  • Administer these funds received to the WIM Member
  • Offer administrative consultations on any of the following topics:
    • Fundraising
    • Budgets
    • Organizational Planning

Fees:

  • A 2% Administrative Fee will be deducted from contributions received on behalf of the WIM Member for these services up to an Annual Maximum Fee of $200. This works out to $20 for every $1,000 raised.
  • Online Credit Card donations can be accepted and are subject to an additional 3% Credit Card Processing Fee.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Female Choreographers/Companies based in New York State
  • Feasible budget and realistic timeline for implementation
  • Readiness to begin fundraising (applicants with previous fundraising experience preferred, however all applicants will be considered on a case by case basis.)

    Please include the following Supplemental Materials:

  • Annual Organizational Budget Form (Excel File Included – “WIM_OrgBudget.xls”)
  • Sample Letter of Solicitation or Annual Appeal Letter (Word or PDF Format)
  • URL Link to a Video Sample of Applicant’s Choreographic Work
    **(Links to online content i.e. YouTube, Vimeo, or your website are preferred, however, if that is not possible, DVDs can be mailed to KDNY)
  • Email completed application form and supplemental files to Artistic Director Kathleen Dyer at kathleen@kdnydance.com
